Funded by ADM Cares, ADM's social investment programme, the project was implemented by World Vision International in Viet Nam in cooperation with the Hải Lăng District People's Committee and local communes. The initiative has significantly improved the irrigation system in the target communes of Hải Lăng District, helping to raise agricultural productivity and increase the incomes of vulnerable households.
The project "Securing Irrigation Water, Improving the Lives of Farming Households" reflects the partners' shared vision of promoting sustainable change in local communities. By improving irrigation systems and increasing agricultural productivity, the project not only raises household incomes but also lays the foundation for long-term stability and development. These improvements put families in a better position to help their children access nutritious food, education and healthcare services.

After three months of implementation (February to April 2025), the project reached more than 2,300 households, around 8,600 people, in three communes of Hải Lăng District (Hải Trường, Hải Định and Hải Hưng). By improving livelihood opportunities for parents, the initiative has had a positive impact on more than 2,000 children and their family members.
The project "Securing Irrigation Water, Improving the Lives of Farming Households" continues ADM's long-standing commitment to supporting sustainable development in Viet Nam. In 2022 and 2024, ADM funded the projects "Sustainable Livelihoods for Farming Households" and "Promoting Sustainable Livelihoods towards a Circular Economy" in Quảng Nam and Quảng Ngãi provinces. These projects have contributed to community development and improved the lives of the most vulnerable children.
