The workshop provided an opportunity for both sides to promote cooperation in vocational training, recruitment and the development of a high-quality workforce.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, a representative of AHK Vietnam stressed: "With its young, dynamic and increasingly well-trained workforce, Viet Nam is becoming a potential partner in addressing Germany's shortage of highly skilled workers."
The event attracted nearly 60 delegates from German and Vietnamese enterprises and many domestic vocational education institutions.
The German organisations in the delegation were:
- Berlin Partner für Wirtschaft und Technologie GmbH – the economic development agency of the State of Berlin.
- WFBB – Wirtschaftsförderung Brandenburg (International Talent Desk – ITD) – the economic development agency of the State of Brandenburg, which supports the connection and recruitment of international workers.
- Altes Forsthaus Braunlage Hotel – a family-run business in the hotel and restaurant sector in Germany.

As part of the programme, the delegates visited, exchanged views on and learnt first-hand about the vocational training system in Viet Nam, and shared the recruitment needs of German enterprises in the fields of engineering, healthcare, hotels and restaurants, logistics and languages.
Following the event in Hanoi, a similar programme will be held in Ho Chi Minh City on 20 September, with the aim of further expanding the cooperation network between enterprises of the two countries. Interested organisations can register to attend via the QR code in the image below:
