Hoàng Tố Vân (23.4 points) and Hoàng Ngọc Lan (23.5 points) declined university admission and chose HHT.

Although both are eager learners, the two sisters had been determined to build their dreams at a vocational school ever since they finished lower secondary school. What prompted this choice was seeing first-hand their cousins still struggling to find jobs after graduating from university...

The "bridge" that brought the sisters Tố Vân and Ngọc Lan to Ha Noi High-Tech College (HHT) was none other than their uncle. From his own experience, he had seen many generations of the college's students find jobs with attractive incomes immediately after graduation.

After hearing about the college, Tố Vân and Ngọc Lan were drawn to it. The sisters and their parents immediately looked up information about the college on its website and came to trust the quality of its training. Without hesitation, the family arranged to bring their two daughters from Yen Bai to Ha Noi to complete enrolment procedures. Hoàng Tố Vân and Hoàng Ngọc Lan officially became new K15 students of HHT in the Beauty Care programme.

Meritorious Teacher Dr. Phạm Xuân Khánh, Rector of the college, congratulates the new students.

The sisters' wish is simple and practical: to acquire really good vocational skills and to find a job straight after graduation. Ms Nguyễn Thị Thương, the twins' mother, supported her daughters' choice, feeling that this path suits the family's economic circumstances and that, after graduating, they will be able to meet the real needs of society.

Asked why she had not steered her daughters towards university when they were eligible, Ms Thương said: "My daughters chose a vocational school; that makes them happy and we should respect it. I hope that at a trusted institution like Ha Noi High-Tech College they will be equipped with professional and entrepreneurial skills and will succeed with their choice. I think the university path is not the only way to succeed. When I share this with others, many people have changed their thinking as my husband and I did, and encourage their children to choose vocational schools. Learning any trade that the labour market needs is meaningful for oneself and for society."

The twins' mother added: "When the girls left home, our family was honestly a little worried, but after coming here and seeing the college for ourselves (including the dormitory) and the dedication of the teachers to their students... I feel completely reassured that my daughters have chosen this place to start a new path, building their dreams and their future in the vocation they have chosen."
