Ms Helga Barth, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Viet Nam, visits and holds a working session with Viet Duc Technical College.
At the working session, the leadership of Viet Duc Technical College reported on the college's training results in recent years. The college currently has more than 1,200 students, with a focus on fields such as electrical engineering, electronics, information technology, automotive technology, teacher training, culinary arts and upper secondary education. To improve training quality and help students find employment, the college has continuously invested in equipment and practical workshops, and has strengthened links and cooperation with enterprises inside and outside the province to provide students with practical training and internships.

Viet Duc Technical College also asked the German Embassy delegation to support investment in modern training equipment aligned with its high-quality training programmes, helping to strengthen learners' practical skills and vocational competence, and to support training and professional development for lecturers and managers in line with German vocational training standards. The college also proposed that the delegation continue to transfer and update training programmes oriented towards German standards and linked to the needs of enterprises and the domestic and international labour markets; support communication activities and expand scholarship, internship and employment opportunities for students; and connect the college with German enterprises and German-invested enterprises in Viet Nam to promote training that is linked to the practical needs of the labour market.

Speaking at the working session, Ambassador Helga Barth took full note of the college's recommendations and proposals and expressed her delight at the comprehensive development of Viet Duc Technical College. The college's achievements are testament to the friendship and cooperation between Viet Nam and the Federal Republic of Germany in general, and between Germany and Ha Tinh province in particular.
Ambassador Helga Barth expressed the hope that, in the coming period, Viet Duc Technical College will continue to focus on improving training quality by strengthening cooperation with domestic and international education institutions to raise the quality of its teaching staff; place emphasis on connecting with enterprises inside and outside the province to train students and help them find jobs after graduation; and step up communication activities to increase the proportion of female students in its programmes.
