The programme will equip college lecturers with the knowledge and skills to teach Recording Financial Transactions (FA1) and Management Information (MA1) to international standards, equivalent to Introduction to Financial Accounting and Management Accounting in Viet Nam.
Participants will also be able to experience and sit the FA1 and MA1 examinations through the FA1 and MA1 Examination Scholarship programme for lecturers attending the course, in order to obtain the ACCA Foundation Certificate in Financial and Management Accounting (RQF Level 2).
This provides a foundation for integrating international-standard content into the colleges' Accounting and Business Administration teaching programmes.
Round 1 will cover FA1 and is expected to take place in April 2024. Round 2 will cover MA1 and is expected to take place in July 2024.
Duration: 40 hours per subject (8 hours a day over 5 days).
Format: In person at a college in Ha Noi, with an additional online option for college lecturers in neighbouring regions.
Content: Foundation Certificate in Financial and Management Accounting, comprising:
- Recording Financial Transactions (FA1),
- Management Information (MA1),
- ACCA's free online module: Foundations in Professional Skills (free on myACCA accounts for lecturers taking the examinations for the certificate).
Target participants: Lecturers of colleges and members of VAVET nationwide.
FA1 and MA1 examination scholarships for lecturers: Lecturers who attend the full course and pass the end-of-course test will receive a scholarship covering the examination fee for FA1 (round 1) and MA1 (round 2), to be used within one month of the end of each round. Examinations are computer-based. Each scholarship (examination fee) is worth approximately VND 2,800,000 per examination per subject.
