Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Thị Việt Hương, Deputy Director General of DVET (MOLISA) and Vice President of the Viet Nam Association for Vocational Education, Training and Social Work, congratulates the leadership of the Institute for TVET and Social Security Development.
The leadership of the Institute for TVET and Social Security Development (hereinafter "the Institute") was also introduced on this occasion: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mạc Văn Tiến as Director, and two Deputy Directors, Dr. Hoàng Kim Ngọc and Dr. Đào Quang Vinh. The Institute has a strong research team, including one professor, four associate professors, three doctors and one master.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, Dr. Phan Sỹ Nghĩa expressed his confidence in the Institute's organisational and research capacity and that the Institute will contribute to advancing the science of vocational education in Viet Nam.
Immediately after the launch ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mạc Văn Tiến, Director of the Institute for TVET and Social Security Development, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bùi Văn Hưng, Rector of Technical College No. II, signed a memorandum of understanding on scientific research cooperation in the field of vocational education.
The Institute for TVET and Social Security Development is a science and technology organisation under the Viet Nam Association for Vocational Education, Training and Social Work. It operates in accordance with the Law on Science and Technology; Government Decree No. 08/2014/NĐ-CP of 27 January 2014 detailing and guiding the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on Science and Technology; Circular No. 03/2014/TT-BKHCN of 31 March 2014 of the Ministry of Science and Technology; and the Charter and regulations of the Association.
The Institute for TVET and Social Security Development has the following tasks:
- Conducting scientific research and technological development, and implementing science and technology topics, programmes and projects in the fields of vocational education, human resource development and social security; cooperating in applying domestic and international research results to the development of these fields.
- Organising training and joint professional training in the fields of vocational education, human resource development, social security and related fields in accordance with the law.
- Providing services in vocational education, training, human resource development and social security: consultancy, provision of experts and transfer of management technology in these fields; organising training courses, workshops, conferences, seminars, awards and certification.
- Compiling and publishing materials, textbooks and reference books, disseminating research results, and organising communication events related to education, human resource development and social security.
- Cooperating and partnering with domestic and foreign organisations and individuals, and mobilising funding to carry out tasks in the fields of vocational education, training, human resource development and social security in accordance with the law, the Charter of the Association and the Charter of the Institute.
