Seminar on "Digital Transformation in Schools and Solutions for Building Digital Competence Assessment Tools"

On 1 March 2024, the Ho Chi Minh City Representative Office of the Viet Nam Association for Vocational Education, Training and Social Work (VAVET&SOW), together with Da Lat College, the Institute for Research, Training and Development of Open Educational Resources and Google's representative in Viet Nam, held the seminar "Digital Transformation in Schools and Solutions for Building Digital Competence Assessment Tools".

The seminar aimed to suggest some fundamental issues in building digital schools, how to develop digital competence frameworks suited to different groups in society, tools for assessing digital competences, and the specific aspects of vocational education and training within these frameworks.

The seminar focused on three topics:

Digital transformation of education in Viet Nam: digital competence, digital culture and openness as prerequisites for success;

Introduction to digital competence frameworks and suggestions for building digital competence assessment tools;

The Open Educational Resources competence framework for lecturers and suggestions for building an open educational resources model.
